Carers Week Conference June 2025

Please join our Carers Week 2025 online conference - a chance for you to share your views on support in Surrey and the county's Strategy for Carers
Carers Week 2025: Conference
The national theme for Carers Week is ‘Caring About Equality’ highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health.
Far too often, carers of all ages miss out on opportunities in their education, careers, or personal lives, just because of their caring role.
To discuss these issues and look at support in Surrey, we are running an online conference – on Wednesday of 11th of June, 10-12.30pm.
What do you want to see in Surrey?
We will be sharing how we are looking to develop our services, as well as finding out your views on support available in Surrey, including hearing your thoughts on Surrey’s Carers Strategy.
The Carers Strategy
The Surrey Carers Strategy 2021 to 24 (extended to 2026) was co-produced by Surrey County Council, NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Boards (ICB), NHS Frimley ICB and carers across Surrey.
It outlines their commitment to improve support for the growing number of carers in Surrey and make a positive difference to people’s lives. Find more details here. It will need to be reviewed in 2026, so your views are important.
